## Artistic Approach

Florence Sartori’s sculptural practice centers on the representation of the female body, viewed in its universal, expressive, and free dimension. Inspired by the performing arts—and in particular by dance—she explores the language of the body, its internal tension, its flexibility, and its presence in space.

Her stylized, silent figures capture a suspended moment, a breath, a gesture that is both intimate and choreographed. Terracotta, her medium of choice, allows her to retain the spontaneity of modeling and preserve the uniqueness of each piece. Bronze, which she approaches as an extension of her aesthetic, is also the subject of a meticulous production process in very limited series, where each patina reveals the work of the form.

Florence Sartori’s sculptures embody a free and timeless femininity. Balance, verticality, swaying hips, arabesques, arches, and suggested leaps: everything speaks to the body in motion and its evocative power. Between abstract lines and controlled sensuality, her work offers a refined yet vibrant interpretation of the contemporary female condition.

## Biography

Florence Sartori has shaped her artistic journey at the intersection of various artistic disciplines. Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, she immersed herself from an early age in a world rich in sensory expression, rubbing shoulders with musicians, dancers, actors, and visual artists. These constant exchanges fostered a cross-disciplinary vision of art, in which the body and movement occupy a central place.

Her encounter with sculpture felt like a natural progression: a way to extend her artistic practice by giving form to what had previously belonged to the realm of gesture and intuition. She trained in various studios, mastered the techniques of terracotta and bronze, and gradually forged a personal visual language.

Her work is regularly exhibited in France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, in galleries and at contemporary art fairs. Her works are also included in several private collections around the world, reflecting the international resonance of her artistic approach.

## Artistic Series

- The “Timeless Love” series celebrates the unique bond between a child and a mother. It is a tribute to women in motherhood. A tender and playful embrace, sculpted with curves and rounded forms. A bond that is both unique and so universal. The sculptures in this series are all titled “Me and Mom” in different languages. This series bears witness to this timeless love, transcending borders and time.
- “Ultramarine” is a series that explores the colors “from beyond the seas”: ultramarine and white. Through the prism of an absolute blue—vivid and incisive, which highlights and accentuates the lines—this series offers a perspective on women, centered on the curve, movement, and elongation of the body. Penetrating and luminescent, this blue imparts a depth that reveals an inner radiance in each sculpture. As a counterpoint, by contrast, white fits naturally into this series and lays the tranquil foundation for a serene perception of curve and form. A terracotta series, rich in contrast, between ultramarine and white, between luminous character and serene nuance.
- “Woman, Singular and Plural” revolves around various timeless female figures and presents the female body in its most universal aspects: curves and voluptuousness, suppleness and sensuality, balance in space, bodily tension, suspended gestures, swaying hips, or an ethereal arabesque.
- “Dynamique” focuses on the body’s dynamics in motion, exploring the concepts of tension and stretching.
