Artistic Statement
Florence Sartori's sculptural practice revolves around the representation of the female body, considered in its universal, expressive, and free dimension. Inspired by the arts of movement, and in particular by dance, she questions body language, its internal tension, its flexibility, and its presence in space. Her stylized, silent figures capture a suspended moment, a breath, a gesture that is both intimate and choreographed. Terracotta, her medium of choice, allows her to preserve the spontaneity of the modeling and the uniqueness of each piece. Bronze, which she approaches with aesthetic continuity, is also the subject of a demanding production in very limited series, where each patina reveals the work of the form. Florence Sartori's sculptures embody a free and timeless femininity. Balance, verticality, swaying hips, arabesques, arches, and suggested momentum: everything speaks of the body in motion and its evocative power. Between abstract lines and controlled sensuality, her work offers a refined yet vibrant interpretation of the contemporary female condition.
